May 28 2008Help Guy Beat Guitar Hero 3, Earn Money

Well it's no Princess Zelda or vagina couch, but some guy named Jon that lives in the St. Louis Park area recently posted on his area's Craigslist looking for some help beating Guitar Hero 3.
I need help beating Raining Blood on Hard, and the last 2 sets on Expert starting with 3's and 7's.
If you could come over either Thursday night or Saturday afternoon I'd pay you to beat them for me. I'll give you an extra 5$ to beat Fire and Flames on Expert.Let me know. I'm going to throw guitar through tv shortly if I don't get these beat. Thanks, Jon
So that's a whole $25 you could earn just by helping poor Jon beat some songs. Anybody in the area that can take him up on his offer? If so I want a kickback. And to find out if this is really a personal ad in disguise.
I need help with Guitar Hero 3 - $20 (St Louis Park) [craigslist]
Thanks to Kyle, who has no need for personal ads because his advertises itself

Haha. Wow. I live close to SLP. Maybe I should go help him... haha!

I'd help him, but fun fact: I lack opposable thumbs.

Has he thought about selling his soul to the devil? Or maybe turning off the fucking television and doing something more productive with his life like flying a kite or huffing paint cans?
Look, if he was really serious, he'd troll the middle schools in a non-descript white van and offer them candy for their services.

This is actually pretty clever. If I had only knew you could put ads like this up I wouldn't have already ruined my (okay, my roomates) tv by throwing my guitar through it!! Damn it, I live near him too! We could have tried to beat them together... Well whenever my roomate lets me actually look at him again I'll have to try this!

he could just download a saved game to his memory. card.

PDrunk: are you serious dude? I won't copy your M.O., sorry. Maybe you should find yourself something more productive to do than troll forums and flame.
Dj Quack Quack: I don't gamesave...you get kicked from Live for doing that.
If you haven't figured it out, this is Jon, and yes I'm serious, and no it's not a personal ad. I love the game, there are just a handful of songs that I can't beat. Sorry if it offends some people that I'm actually asking for someone to help me as opposed to "gamesaving". I keep trying to get my kid to invite her friends over and I'd pay them if they beat it for me, but apparently kids are way too cool for that stuff now. She's just ticked that her dad can beat most of her friends at video games.

He can't beat 3's & 7's? Dude even I can beat 3's & 7's on expert (after about two red bulls and week of not getting any) and I'm a girl! A teeny little, unassuming, social-lifeless girl!

What's the point of getting someone else to beat a game for you? Where's the achievement in that? Might as well get them round to pop your wife and eat your dinner while you're at it.

Can I be the 1st of 1000 guys that are gonna ask Amy if I can help her with that week of not getting any problem? I promise it'll be worth not being good at guitar hero.

why do i feel as if this is the new "i've got candy in my car" or "have you seen my puppy" kidnapping scheme?

No shame in asking for help. Cool that the guy's a gamer. Shame in asking for help for a game you yourself purchased and the goal is to become good enough to bear the damn thing yourself. Don't save your games? Too bad. Get Rock Band, and practice on there...unless you are going to start asking others for help, in which case, gaming is not for you.

guate6: Saving your game and doing "gamesaves" are different. "Gamesaves" are when you load someone elses account onto your machine and save THEIR progress. That's cheating. What I'm doing is no worse than having a buddy of mine come over and play with me. So if I have a buddy of mine come over to play and he beats Raining Blood, am I supposed to call Microsoft and tell them to take away the achievement because it wasn't me? I have over 66 million points which ranks me 4500 overall for campaign. I'm far from bad at this game. There are just a handful of songs that I can't beat and I'm asking for help. Big friggin deal.

Perhaps if someone spent less time justifying their Craigslist ad and more time practicing these songs, this problem would solve itself.
