May 8 2008What The Apocalypse May Look Like (That Is, If It Happened Naturally And Not At The Hands Of Giant Robots And/Or Zombies)

These are pictures of the Chaitén volcano erupting in Chile (the country, not the delicious mixture of beans, meat and spices) and creating a "dirty thunderstorm". Dirty thunderstorms are caused by the incredible amount of static electricity generated in a volcano's ash plume and are not to be confused with "dirty thunderwearstorms" which are created when a coworker (i.e. The Superficial Writer -- thanks a lot dude) is taking his afternoon nap on the only commode in the building and there's nowhere else to relieve yourself.
Several more pictures of the apocalypse after the jump.

I am from Chile, i live en Santiago, the capital of Chile, and is very sad what is happening but the picuteres and the videos are pretty sweet is like Mordor!, the storms are happening all the nights, but we can't have por photos becose in Chainte the are no people left, only remeins two guys in Chainten that the are hide somewhere...
17. rodcontr - May 9, 2008 2:26 AM
i also live in chile... (pegó el blog acá parece, yo creo que el escritor no sospechó ser leído tan lejos)
@10: because of a high pressure center located over the pacific, in front of our long and thin country, we can't get tornadoes around here. We do have LOTS of earthquakes though, misteriously disappearing lakes, ah! and the MOAI (easter island is a part of chile).
@15: UPI sells high resolution pictures of the volcano at U$40 (may seem a lot, but the dollar is quite cheap now)

When is Al Gore going to denounce these volcanoes for spewing thousands of tons of green house gases into our fragile atmosphere? Perhaps the Kyoto P could be redrafted to address/regulate them as well.

I believe that is actually Chili. Chile would be more like a pepper.
Technically...
