Apr 14 2008Marvel Vs. DC Custom Painted Nikes On eBay

marvel-dc-1.jpg

Up on the auction block are a pair of custom painted Nike Air Force Ones (size 9.5) featuring Marvel and DC comic book characters. They're currently at $50.99 (reserve not met) with 4 days, 8 hours remaining.

This is a custom pair of Air Force 1s that were handpainted and airbrushed to the highest of standards. This pair features numerous comic book characters from both Marvel and DC. The characters on each shoe actually fight THROUGH the pair! On each pair there is 9 characters. That makes 18 characters on one pair of sneakers. Any one who has some knowledge on sneaker painting knows how tedious it is to paint ONE character! Attention to detail is so incredible, that there were 9 different shades of blue, 6 different shades of red, and much more color variation on each character. Perfect for the comic book fan (apologize to any Robin fans). Perfect for display, but also ready for wear.

Who will win the epic battle of Marvel vs. DC characters? Does Batman die? Will The Punisher punish? Does the Hulk get with Wonder Woman? Will Catwoman and Psylocke tear each other's tops off and wrestle in a kiddy pool of Snack Pack brand pudding (like in my dreams)? Tune in next week to find me passed out on the kitchen floor while my wife stacks empty boxes on my back and a cat pees on my feet.

Several more pictures along with a link to the auction (with even more pictures) after the jump.

Wow. Those look like shit.

wow those look horrible.

Normally I wouldn't give it the time of day, but you check out that awesome bedonkeedonk butt on Wonder Woman? Say DAAAAMMMMN! Guess it sound a little weird to say I'd Hit That on a sneaker, but still, DAAAAAMMMNNN!!!

These are stupid. They look crap. I hope a 12 year old drew these, otherwise I'm not impressed.

To messy, Id rock a pair..

Comics, eh. Show me a version of Time magazine vs. Newsweek magazine, now that would be something.

The only reason that these stories are posted are to remind me that I don't have Bantha slippers; but yet, people can have hideously ugly shoes with cartoons on them.
It's a cruel, cruel world.

Hideous. Their proportions are all out of wack, their 'cuts' from the 'fight' look like shit.

Not that I could do a better job, but I sure as hell wouldn't buy them.

word yanni.

catwoman's bewbs are sooo droopy!

Highly disappointing.

Now, I know my proportions are out of wack... But they're not this bad.

...Catwoman's breasts are saggy, Wonderwoman's foot is literally in her ass... Some of the characters are facing out, others are facing forward... If they're fighting sneakers, then shouldn't they all be facing outward? Spiderman looks like he wants to take it up the butt, Superman looks jacked up (what?!), and I thought Robin (or whoever that is) was taking a piss.

My eyes are bleeding right now. Seriously, are people blind? Is the artist insane?! It's at $202 and the reserve still hasn't been met...!

The ones posted the other day (SSBM) were a lot better. A lot.

Did the quote say that 9 characters per pair makes 18 per pair? I think it did.

These look like they were painted by Rob Liefeld circa 1994.

Oh god, these are majorly fug. My 10-year-old niece could do better than this. My eyes are bleeding.

Ewww... After looking at Cat Woman's saggy bags of hell, I don't think I'll ever find boobs attractive again.
