Apr 22 2008LEGO Star Wars Pen Set Is Questionable

I love LEGO and Star Wars, so one would think that I'd find this LEGO Star Wars pen set ($25) bonetastic. Well that is not the case. But mostly because I have a problem with the advertising.
Each of these pens are a completely personalized writing instrument, since you use the included LEGO pieces to build a favorite Star Wars character, then add your choice of colors and shapes. Set of three includes Yoda, R2-D2 and Darth Vader.
Anybody else have a problem with that? "Completely personalized"? To me it looks like you can only choose whether Yoda has a gumball machine or a silver ball bearing on his head. To their credit though, you can build my favorite character with the set, Darth Yoder D2 -- he's got Vader's body, Yoda's head, and R2's robotic schlong.

Oh, I don't know, I think they're kind of cute. They probably write for shit though. Is there a Bantha pen?

I prefer to use my own blood and the tip of my finger! Yea, I'm a rebel, a loner, a real menace to society! If you get in my way I'll.....What? Mom! I told you not to bother me while I'm in my Fortress!!
Now, where was I? Oh, forget it, the mood is gone.....

Come, Scott, let us jump the frilly brush.
And I only use blood when I'm signing over my soul to some sort of entity. Not that I'd ever do that, just saying, you know, blood as ink seems appropriate in that situation...Stop yelling at me in Aramaic, Satan! No, I'm not telling them about you, now piss off you old sod. What? No, I didn't just type that, all the hellfire and brimestone is adversly effecting your mind. Now where's my vodka? *poof* Thank you, Satan.

Yep.
A friend brought a set of these to Dirty Santa this past year.
They're not too bad, actually.
The write pretty well and it's rather amusing to mix and match character parts.

Someone gave me the Harry Potter version of this. They're boring as shit, you lose the little pieces that go one the pen and then find them a month later when you tread on them and they become embedded in your foot and to top it all off, they don't write well and feel like shit to write with. My desk draw is littered with little pieces and I can't throw the f***ing things away, because it was a gift.
I really hate these pens.
