Mar 11 2008Song Made With Only Sounds From Mac OSX
Well last week was the song made exclusively with sounds from Windows 98 and XP, and now comes the Mac version. Made with only sound effects from Mac OSX, it sounds like lots of der-ders, ding dings and clickity clicks. That said, it's kind of growing on me. Now I would like to take this time to open for discussion who made the better song -- the Windows or Mac user. Okay, discussion closed. And the winner is...they both wasted their time.

Windows song was definitely more involved, closer to "music."

Urgh, that's annoying, especially as most of the sounds are error type ones and a few "got mail ones".... I think I prefer the windows one despite being a mac user.

Windows one was definitely more music-like.
This one made me think of the original Willy Wonka movie.
Both were rather interesting, but Windows was more interesting to listen to.

It reminded me of roller coaster tycoon 3. When you install a circus or whatever that little attraction thing was...that's the type of "music" they play. The Windows one was better, and yes, they both wasted their time, yet here we are discussing it all.

i'm totally a mac user... but the windows one changed the pitch of each of the sounds, making cool melodies etc and this just kinda put them together in a cool rhythm... so windows wins sorry

The windows one was SO much better, but I think it's because Mac doesn't have a huge number of sounds... but Windows has all those xylophone sounding ones at different notes which makes it a lot easier to put together a song. I love/use Mac but will absolutely admit the Windows song is better - it sounds like an actual song.
