Mar 31 2008Mixed Feelings: Monkey Riding Motorcycle
This is a video of a monkey riding a motorcycle. I have mixed feelings about it. While a monkey zooming around on a little motorcycle is admittedly pretty neat, I can't help but feel sorry for the little guy. I mean he's doing it right in the damn traffic. That's dangerous, and no way to treat an animal. It's different when you get your little brother to perform dangerous stunts for your amusement, but monkeys? They have feelings.
UPDATE: Turns out that wanker on the curb is pulling him around with a leash. Anybody know where that guy lives? I've got my steel-toed boots laced up and they're itching for some nuts.
Thanks to Tom, who can ride a motorcycle with his eyes closed, backwards, with no hands, all the while making out with a chick clad in leather, for the tip

God, it's kind of creepy, watching that little guy check for traffic before taking off again.... it's all so sinister...

No to mention he's dragging the monkey sharply by its leash...

How do you teach a monkey to ride a bicycle? You nail his feet to the pedals and beat the shit out of him.

What's talented about being yanked around exactly?

If someone were to come and snip the leash would the monkey ride off?

@6 Yeah he is being yanked you can tell at 0:10 -0:12..

Obviously the Monkey loves it! What better way to spend your life than being trapped out of the jungle and then kept in a small cage until the 2pm show each day. I'm sure the little guy wasn't beaten or anything and just naturally rides the bike for fun.

He isn't being yanked, more like a tug as signal to stop. You think that dude is actually pulling that monkey that fast? Look closer. That monkey is driving the motorcycle and is only getting the message to stop and turn around. If he was yanked he would come off the bike.

Umm.... #10, look at the 10 second mark. Look at the guy holding the leash, and the direction he's pulling. If he pulled that monkey any harder, its head would come off. I think only the fact that it's a monkey, held it on the bike. I don't think it's looking out for traffic, it's checking for an escape route.

The first thing I noticed was the PULL at the 10 sec. point. The guy freakin' almost jerk his little monkey head off! "Hey hey look... See I pull little animals around on a leash! Now give me a dollar!" but I guess work is work...

I saw this clip on Yahoo. I believe the announcer said a movie about the monkey was in the works. With Nicholas Cage starring as the monkey. Or the guy yanking the leash. I wasn't listening that close.

Point taken, he is yanked. Still got mad motorcycle skills.
