Mar 3 2008I'm Sold: Smencils Are Scented Pencils

smell-pencils.jpg

Remember the Mr. Sketch (great name) Scented Markers that first introduced you to the wonderful world of huffing? I sure do. Damn that grape was out of this world. Well, if you loved them as much as I did, you know about the risk of accidentally marking on your nose and getting pegged as a huffer. Enter Smencils -- the pencil version of scented markers. They cost $10 for a pack of ten different scents, and are totally worth it. Now that doesn't mean I'm going to buy some, but it does mean I'll steal some and rubber cement them up my nose.

i want some, huffing is good fun!

I smell a gimmick

If they're made in China does that mean they are lead based?

effing comic sans...

just fyi, smencils are cheaper at vat19.com. Plus their site is funnier - you should have linked to them instead of uncommon goods.

OLD NEWS IS OLD

yeh.. at my school they sell these..everyone has them. been around for a long time.

These would make a after dinner good desert.

omg i already had that stuff in the 80s when I went to school... i loooooved those pencils!!!

I got my wife a pack of these for Christmas. She loves them.

I prefer the markers myself, mostly because there was always that damn kid in the class who would go somewhere and huff all the scented markers, and then would have little colored marks on the underside of their nose from getting too close. Everyone knew what they had been doing, but they were oblivious to the fact that they colored themselves. Morons.

Ew..
I've had those before.. they're disgusting.

And if you scrape the covering off, you can unroll it and the whole thing is made of old Chinese newspapers glued together.

These things have been around FOREVER! I remember my little brother selling them for a school fundraiser a couple years ago... kinda nasty but whatev.

definitely SO old.. elementary school kids have been selling them forever

I use these everyday at work because regular pencils stink and smell like wood. The root beer is the best.

Crayola sells scented pencils (and markers and crayons) for about three bucks..

Theyre made from recycled newspaper, and great for the environment...
Theyre are packaged in plastic tubes, which is less great for the environment...
