Feb 11 2008OMGWTFBBQ Chicken Holder Is Iffy

colpop-cup-thingy.jpg

The Col-Pop is the brainchild of BBQ Chicken USA (a Korean BBQ franchise). They have over 3,500 stores worldwide, but they're just making their way to the states (they have a handful of stores in NY, NJ, and NC), so you may have to wait a bit until you get to experience the awesomeness that is the Col-Pop. Basically it's a cup insert that perches your chicken nuggets safely and conveniently above your beverage. As you can see from the schematic there, it's pretty simple. Almost as simple as the version I created, which is liquefied chicken soda. Not only is it convenient, you don't have to worry about anybody trying to steal your nuggets. You know, because they're liquid and taste like shit.

why

Im surprised you fat Americans were not the ones to invent such a rediculous thing.

Jennifer Love Hewitt invented this with Shitney Spears. They went through an offshore company to make all the profits off of it and are currently eating them all.

holy hell. i live in greensboro, nc. there is one about 5 minutes from my house. i am going now to get one of those f***ers. i will report how awesome it is.

@matt
Try stepping out once in awhile. It's good for the senses...and builds character.

Maybe this cup is the start of something - like those contraptions where musicians can play more than one instrument at a time. They could add a lever on the side for dessert.

Dude, that's the f***ing sickest thing I have ever seen....and I DON'T mean that in a good way! :-}~

Cold is heavy and falls, hot air is light and rises...I don't see it not working, lest you spill your drink and you get your nuggets and soda all in a mess. Perhaps this Is for drive through, for people who only have one or two cup holders and no place but one's own lap for the nuggets? How about a soup cup on top of a soda cup...any takers?

Col-Pop?... as in Cola Soda Pop? Colon Pop? Colonel Popcorn Chicken?

Anyways, it looks like it can only hold 2 chicken pieces... and less cola soda pop.

Anybody here ever had Zaxby's?

p.s. how about if the insert section was a sippie cup... and the main container had a sippie opening too right next to the other sippie opening....

Would you really want to shove your face next to your nuggets whilst you sip your drink? And Guate6, I don't think those principles would have much of an effect on such a small scale. You'd more likely just end up with lukewarm everything and cola that tastes like nuggets.

@5 I totally agree Matt needs to get out a LOT MORE!!! Funny I had a girl come over to from Germany for the first time ever and one of the things she said was wow, not all americans are fat. NO SHIT!!

That being said I would absolutely LOVE to get my hands on one of these. The rest of the world is just jealous at our ability to eat EVERYTHING.

But would you not get chicken in your face when you instinctively go and tip your cup a bit >.>?

#9: While Zaxby's nuggets are good, the rest of their stuff is overrated. All their food is highly overpriced.

#10: I agree, which is why I added a bit of sarcasm towards the end, implying this product sucks.

I saw those being hawked in S.Korea back in '02 and it didn't look like a good idea back then (no, I didn't try 'em then). But I guess time has proven that it isn't such a horrid and impractical idea that they're farming it out over here now. Feckin' hell, we use all their cars, mobile phones, fat-ass TVs, so why not chickie-cups?

[Conversely, maybe it's such a horrible idea that they think that we'll all yum it up like pigs to the slop... 1st gen Hyundais, anyone?]

UPDATE: they were f***ing awesome. everyone go f*** yourselves. they were awesome. my soda stayed oh-so-cold.

there are cups with takoyaki holders in Ueno, Tokyo. not very user friendly me thinks
