Ah, Nerf guns. Many a fond memory of playing with those things. I had the old school one that shot the yellow foam balls. I forget the name of it. Something popper? I can't remember. What I do remember is the dog eating all the damn ammo. Then instead of playing with Nerf guns we shot Ping Pong balls out of our mouths at each other. Which was fun until my babysitter hit me square in the eye and I fell and broke my thumb. Good times.
To keep the foam-based childhood memories alive Nerf is releasing the Vulcan EBF-25 later this year. It's an "electrically powered, belt fed, tripod mounted, foam dart annihilation machine." It comes with a 25 dart ammo chain and runs on 6 D batteries (like my girlfriend's favorite toy). MSRP is a paltry $40 so you will definitely be able to afford one. Warning: the combination of wicked toy gun and hunky Gladiator may make you gay.

False. It was not his girlfriend's toy, it was his mom's. And it didn't run off of D batteries, it's a rip-start diesel.

I gotta go with Dave and say this would be great for the office, because the massive collection we have already isn't enough. Warning the Nerf bazooka on full blast from 5 ft will hurt and cause damage to monitors.

Hmm, yeah the guy from American Gladiator looks so manly holding that toy gun. Nerf should have a production model of the real one they use in American Gladiator...you know, the one they use to shoot tennis balls.

I look at this and I wonder, how moddable it is? Nerf guns do NOT stay stock once they get into the hands of geeks.

6 D's? That's not a toy, my friend - that's serious power. A trooper special maglight is only 4 D's and provides quite a wallop.
