Feb 4 2008Little Fire Extinguisher Looks Like Grenade

Are most of your fires really small? If so you should consider this little extinguisher -- the PinQY (~$79). It's (brilliantly) marketed as "the discreet tool for putting out the beginnings of a fire." First of all, what in the hell are the "beginnings" of a fire? Marketing departments are seriously taking liberties with product descriptions these days. And discreet? I've never felt embarrassed about having safety equipment around because it doesn't go with my decor. Which is why I parked a fire truck in the kitchen. Well that and I like tooting the horn.

Tiny fire extinguisher can save you from tiny fires [dvice]

Thanks to Tom, who can extinguish fires with his bare hands, for the tip

between this and http://www.geekologie.com/2008/01/fire_extinguisher_fights_fire.php, I'm practically fire proof

lolz you said tooting

"beginnings of a fire," I think that means that if you sense that there's a fire coming, you grab the grenade-like apparatus, point it at where the fire will be, and as soon as the first molecule of oxygen is ignited, you quickly spray it down, as well as the surrounding area, so that the fire never has a chance...

In a way, it's kind of like a first-trimester abortion, but for fires.

@ guate6 - "oxygen is ignited"

FAKE! hope you were trying to be funny, and don't actually think that oxygen ignites

Yes, I was trying to be funny.

Well it'd be interesting to see this work.

"Nobody panic, I can put this fire out!" *pulls out a hand-grenade*

Well my friend, if you write `First of all, what in the hell are the "beginnings" of a fire?`, then you must ask yourself if you know anything about fire safety.

I believe the answer is very clear.

Next time perhaps it would be a great idea to think twice before writing a comment

For your info:

`Fire extinguishers are only for fighting a fire in its very early stages` (or sometimes called the beginnings of a fire).
