Feb 6 2008Fake iPhone Is Fairly Convincing, Expensive

The C-002 is a very cleverly named iPhone clone.
This is the ultimate rock solid 99% iPhone clone and is selling like crazy. It is unlocked so just plug your SIM card in and you are good to go. Comes with one year warranty. Sells for only $239. No contracts. No rate plans. Just your existing SIM card is enough.
First, I've got the feeling that more than 1% of iPhone functionality is missing here. Secondly, I thought fake iPhones were sold by men in trenchcoats and/or in back alley markets for $40. I mean $240? That's real money. For a not real iPhone. However I may have to drop for one after reading a particularly poignant review.
this phone is shitting on people if i get this can i use any sim card that is not cut on or do i have to have sim card that is turned on plz respond asap
Hmm, well it appears that person doesn't own one, but has heard from a reliable source that the unit defecates on people. Interesting feature, but I'll pass after all.
A worthwhile video of the thing in action (why he chose that Eminem song is a mystery to me) and product specs after the jump.
Main features at a glance:
1. 3.5" big screen that supports finger touch and no keypad, touch pen needed.
2. Dual SIM slots that holds two SIM chips and supports SIM card switching.
3. Triband GSM 900/1800/1900MHz that supports USA GSM standard.
4. Web addresses entering; web browsing, WAP setting, web address management.
5. Unlocked to any major network carrier.
6. SMS, MMS, voicemail and cell broadcast
7. MP3, MP4, file playing, recording, phone call recording.
8. Capturing, video capturing, photo viewing, playing

I don't understand why its easy for a knock-off company to make a cell phone comparable to the iPhone but for every other company except Apple it will take years to get there. I'm not saying Apple or iPhone is the best thing ever, nor do I think it has the best features. Its just the iPhone is thin, has a nice big screen, easy menu, and good style while other manufacturers still have a clunky interfaces with small screens and no wi-fi support.
I just want an iPhone that isn't bogged down by Apple. : 0
When will i find one!?
2. amazon - February 6, 2008 5:54 PM
They used "Stan" because it's about a deranged fan who tries to make himself look like Eminem. Get it?
3. AdamYYZ - February 6, 2008 6:00 PM
I don't buy fake watches, so I wont buy fake phones. I get a lot of satisfaction out of a fine piece of art and/or engineering. I would rather admire the iphone and never own one than spend 250 on this abortion.
4. Infi - February 6, 2008 6:34 PM
Massive lag, redundant menus, unreliable touch sensor, half of the interface is in chinese. I don't think I could use one of these for more than 5 minutes without throwing it out the window.
C'mon Apple, make the 3G iPhone already so we can have them in Australia.

Even worse than the original!™
8. Superevil - February 7, 2008 1:13 AM
FAKE!!! That's not even a real iPhone, it's just some sort of knock-off.
9. Smarter than Superevil - February 7, 2008 1:37 AM
Are you serious Superevil? Did you read the post?
10. guate6 - February 7, 2008 1:57 AM
#8...is it you, Damn luddites, in "disguise" ?
Did that say "HiPhone" ? lol
It doesn't look bad...how'd they get the apple logo on there? (the startup splash screen)...I wouldn't get an iPhone, nor would I get this. But it's good to see someone trying the technology.
11. Samuel - February 7, 2008 2:45 AM
Alright everybody, let's wail on #8 like a little red-headed step child.
CONGRADULATIONS!!!! You're a retard....
Big ups to #4 : C'mon Apple, make the 3G iPhone already so we can have them in Australia.
12. poop - February 7, 2008 3:07 AM
well, this finally makes it economical for ET to phone home. although, he *could* just email the family and not have to bother with the embarrassing conversation.
13. Keiran - February 7, 2008 4:26 AM
Like Infi already said. This think is far away from Apples technology. Just look how often he has to touch one button twice till something happens. There are just a few animations. The one really cool when turning the phone in photo or video mode is missing here. AND this piece of crap is double as thick as the iphone is...minimum. So everything that's making an iphone to an iphone is missing.
Why should anyone buy this except of doing some posing in front of his friends?
14. chris - February 7, 2008 5:22 AM
I had a fake iPhone pretty similar to this for about a week. It really sucks. Because the 1% difference to the Apple Mobile are pretty much, when it comes to usability.
Sound quality is horrible. But the translation of the menu items was really funny.
In german the Home Button (dedicated key) was called "sense of duty button" and the user profilesomething like "consumer profiling " (if I translate it back to english) *lol*
15. Maddy - February 7, 2008 6:52 AM
Paying 240$ on a iPhone copy that works bad is like throwing your money on the window. With 240$ you can buy a nice phone from Nokia, Samsung, etc.
16. Superevil - February 7, 2008 9:39 AM
No, but it's not real! IT'S A FAKE!

It just shows Chinese ppl doesn't short for tech., they just can't get good ideas or can't make creative guys work on big projects.
19. greg - February 7, 2008 12:17 PM
you are saying it coz you easly buy an iPhone there... here, we have to spend almost US$900 to get an original and do all process to make a call...
soon I will see this shit selling here (dont matter where I live)
20. Superevil - February 7, 2008 1:51 PM
Yawn. Not that I'd want an iPhone anyway but this isn't that bad. Certainly alot better than the Meizu M8 which I doubt will ever be released.
21. Linah - February 7, 2008 4:18 PM
hey did anybody noticed the reflection of the dude who took the pic on the fake iPhone ? .. LOL ..
22. MoTT - February 7, 2008 9:13 PM

Wow. I've never posted before but let me just say that upon reading your comment I felt morally compelled to do so.
First of all, how dare you, with your apparent lack of grammar, assume that everyone here would be so cheap as to simply Google fake iphone and be directed to this site. Some of us are here because the site is actually entertaining. Secondly, Everyone here is obviously not an idiot, a forum is a place where things are discussed. Were there no discussion this (which is hardly a forum but ok, I'll consider it one for the sake of argument) would be an irrelevant page. Discussion fuels thought which enriches your feeble excuse for an existence.
Your wild assumptions don't have a leg to stand on, reading your comment was, albeit entertaining, a waste of my time.

31. chris - February 19, 2008 5:15 AM
I remember seeing one that wasn't half bad, but it had windows startup/shutdown sounds, lol. This one looks shitty compared to the other, which actually had 2 sim slots (dunno why you'd need 2, maybe 1 for another plan to call your mistress???)

i have an iphone 3g nd this fake phone is beyond bad , it has lag , it touch screen isnt very good nd the width is huge. this is one of those things where ppl buy the fake because they cant afford the real thing . but i would rather work a bit more nd have the real thing than buy a fake really quick nd then get fed up with it in two ,three days. it is also missing a app store nd a music store(itunes). if anyone wants to buy this rethink ur ideas nd wait a bit longer to get a real iphone.
38. sohail - January 30, 2009 4:42 PM
did you order it or got it free
39. Lenna - February 3, 2009 7:57 PM
Ever heard of commas, #27?
Anyway, HiPhone? iPhone knockoffs are usually rather pitiful, but at least I got a chuckle out of this one.
40. James - February 10, 2009 8:08 PM
well, something like that may be appealing to some koreans locally.
currently iPhone not being available here and the Samsung Omnia selling at US$1,500 ea, a US$250 knockoff may be worth it's price tag in korea. the local telecom companies are trying to bring iPhone into korean market and sell it at US$1,000(tentative price). (-_-)
41. jake - March 1, 2009 1:44 AM
that thing is such a piece of crap. people shouldnt copy apple. they have epic failures.
42. rrmonilla - March 4, 2009 10:31 AM

43. KElvin - March 13, 2009 3:46 AM
LOL. Pls. Touch pen needed. Its totally different from iPhone. You can't use a Touch Pen on iPhone. It's not 99% iPhone. Its 99% crap. Serious. I used it before. totally useless
44. HT - March 18, 2009 6:37 PM

49. chian mobile phnoe - May 26, 2009 4:49 AM
It’s a disgrace to the Chinese race!, I mean, I’m also a Chinese and I also agree about the fact that it is just plain stupid that they make fake equipment from big named items…..
50. Vic Flow - June 27, 2009 2:00 AM
I thought I got a good deal only payin 80 bucks for this fake I Phone. I came with a three month free service sim card. I used it for two days thats when it died. When I went to charge the fake phone the charger that came with the phone was not the charger to the phone. I got screwd cuz now i cant find a charger for that phone anywere! You live n you learn.
51. Zack - July 3, 2009 7:54 AM
Well, #27, I was linked here from my Twitter page. So hah to you
This doesn't even closely resemble an iPhone. Its twice as thick and look at the screen! Its so crappy. There's so much dead space at the bottom of the screen where the home button is. This isn't a 99% copy. Its more like 58%. Chinese people are very clever though and it took them only a year to adapt this tech that took apple many years.

The main difference between the crappy imitation iPhone which has "Phone" instead of "iPhone" ingeniously imprinted on the back is what apple thrives on to differ from any device that wishes to try to make a copy of.
and that difference is the iTunes store.
HOW MANY DEVICES COME WITH A GIANT
and well designed and tested for any problem,
ALMOST PERFECTED STORE !
I doubt you can even think of any device that can easily get games, utilities and other erotic stuff. ;) SOOOO EASILY !
let alone that its legal.
and you don't have run to the music shop or take the car out just to rent a movie.
its so simply easy even for the technologically impaired people.

My Friend has a C-002 and its shockingly shit when i had a play with it.
When I tried it, it felt sooo ridiculously inferior.
The need of a pen to touch it is the worst part.
THAT FINGER TOUCH DESCRIPTION AT THE TOP IS A F#$*ING LIE !
YOU CAN TRY ALL YOU WANT TO USE YOUR FINGER !
IT WONT WORK UNLESS YOU USE THE VERY EDGE OF YOUR NAIL.
SO FAR ON THE EDGE THAT IT BECOMES VERY ANNOYING!
its just no where as near as good as the iPhone.
Buying this device is a mistake.
spare yourself the embarrassment when you show your friends and you say its a cheap inferior imitation branded device that can do barely anything as good as an iPhone can.

i had a fake iphone for like 3 months,
and then the charger started to stuff up,
and whenever it needed charging i needed to fiddle around with it for about an hour to get it to finally charge without me having to hold it.
and then when my battery went flat before i had the chance to charge it, i tried to turn it on when it was connected to the charger, but as soon as i switched the power on it said "BATTERY SHUTDOWN" and turned off straight away, without giving it a chance to actually charge.
was good for a few weeks, but now im phone-less and feel like crap.
54. DENISSE - August 8, 2009 11:04 PM
Well, thank god i read all this before buying one, i was just about to get one for $175 but i wont throw my money away................
And yes #27 there is a reason to this site cuz other peoples opinion could sometimes be helpful!!!
55. jOHN - August 28, 2009 8:14 AM
Ok , i see that this fake has flaws and zero after sales support , but why cant apple have some of their functions .
1. dual sims
2. removable batteries
3. sensible pricing(yeah i know flame away)
56. Passing by - August 29, 2009 3:09 PM
So this is my first time here, and thought I should post something.
I have a Iphone knockoff ,a friend gave it to me, 'cause I certainly would throw away my money like that...
But the one I own isn't as bad as this one. It's still a piece of crap, but it has dual sim, good sound, and it looks like the real thing, hs the apple logo and everything. however, the camera isn't worth squat, some things are in chinese, and if I change the language setup to mine, well, I honestly don't know what I'm reading.
Basically, I really think people should just wait for a while and gather more money to buy the real thing, nothing like the original, right?
Great post, and awesome comments, had a few laughs with it :D

oh god, don't buy this shit phone ,no matter how good it looks on the outside. When my dad first brought it home,i was ecstatic.jumping around the house and everything. He then told me it was fake but it was ALMOST THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL IPHONE. total BULLSHIT. The manual that came with it was a joke, full of bad grammar. My joy lasted for approx, hmm 2 hours?i discovered that this imitation iphone does not sync with itunes. i tried transferring music to it,but it wouldn't work. "PAth not found " etc etc. the music is staticky and loud, even at the min. volume. the vid quality is not clear. so bascially this phone is useless, except for the basic texting, taking low definition pictures, and calling.
oh yeah, some of the games don't work either as the default language is chinese.
59. ann - September 16, 2009 12:48 PM
continuing from above...
what makes it worse is that my dad bought 2! for 500 bucks! He just loves buying imitation products since they are ' as good as the original'.

Almost bought a better looking knock-off, sooooooo glad I reconsidered. A knock-off is not alway's a clone, I this case agree with getting the original. Never used Apples products before and hearing about tight control made me want to move even further away.
2nd gen Razor owner alway's liked Motorola's style and functionality, bought Moto Cliq w/blur, android apps. After a week and a day back at store returning phone and canceling account even after rebates. Seen Droid phone from Verizon but not going that route either. To me not good enough to be the iPhone killer yet. Now happy owner of iPhone 3g s w/2 year contract, and looking for accessories to go with it.
My eye's have been opened.....

Hei guys!
I was looking throught internet, to find the best place that would sell original iphones 3gs for the cheapest price..
And what I found was this website... http://www.elecsplaza.tk/
The prices are increadibly low!!!!??? That immideatly caused me a great doubts about authenic and originality of their products!!!!
After the conversation with their support consultant, he told me that all products are original.. that they come from California factory!???
Aren't all of the iphones are made i China ???
Thurther on he told me that they are... I don't know some kind of steakholders of Apple Inc.. and so on...
All I want to ask is...
1. Does anybody have bought something on this website!!!???
2. Can somebody tell me exactly are this products are original or not !!!??? And is this ok, to buy items from their website...!!!????
65. Tony - December 30, 2009 3:26 AM
Lucky i read this cause i was gonna get one of these phones for fun. but looks liek i will save my money and buiy\\\buy a levona or motorola!!
66. Tony - December 31, 2009 1:19 AM
#66 Regarding elecsplaza.tk or any wholesaler.
If your no sure, do a little checking start with their address and goto Google maps and street view and have a look.
Check to see if there has been any other sales and buyers comments.
As well, stay well away from anyone offering payment through Western Union or Money Gram.
Use only Paypal or Escrow.
You will run into 2 scams.
1. make out the payment to the name of one of your friend's or relative's names. You will then tell the seller the control number (identification') of the payment
Once the seller knows the address or control number of the payment, he can go get the payment and send you nothing.
2.Payment using Western Unions "secret question" feature.
Western Union agents do not ask the question, and only care if the
person knows the address or control number.
Western Union even advise on their website not to rely on the secret question feature.
I hope this helps.
Be safe and Happy New Year
