Jan 3 2008Why?: Blender Sports Functional Tachometer

rpm-blender.jpg

The L'Equip R.P.M. Blender costs $134 and has a functional tachometer in the base. Because let's face it, a smoothie made at the wrong RPM will taste like ass. The unit is powered by a 900-watt motor and has a turn-knob capable of adjusting revolutions per minute from 500 to 20,000. This is great because I think everything should come with a tachometer. Like the one I installed here on my desk chair. Let's see, right now it's reading 0, which is typical. One time last week my a-hole coworkers were feeling mean and spun me around until it read 100 and I started puking. They thought it was funny, but it wasn't. I got the last laugh though, because I killed their families.

ok so I'll say that I'd rather have a Tach then the 10 stupid buttons like "puree, blend, mix" and all that stupid crap that means nothing to 99.9% of the people using blenders. Though it's a tad expensive. Wonder if the guy on that blend crap site has this one

SInce I don't have time to wait around for someone else to say that this is old news, I'll play the role of the major tool:

"Dang, geekologie, this has been around for, like, 55 years; way to stay on top of the newest gadgets"

Ya know...for the price, it's almost more worth it to get a 700W or 900W motor-powered blender, get a tachometer, and do the damn thing yourself...or hell, get creative and strap a belt to a hamster wheel and figure it out.

Though if it cost less, it'd be more appealing and even I'd get one.
