Jan 14 2008Unskilled Modder Makes Portable Gamecube
Well last week we posted a pretty sweet looking portable Dreamcast, and this week we're posting a pretty bitter looking portable Gamecube. Now I hate to rag on any modder, because at least they're trying, but this person should have tried harder. I mean it looks like it was carved out of a huge bar of soap. That being said, I want it badly.

But it is larger and therefore less portable than the gamecube itself.

i especially like how a 14" device has a 1.5" screen...that is a good use of space....nothing like squinting to play video games...

@9 - I was simply pointing out sammy's wonderful debate skills. clearly in order to prove himself, he must call other people names. very mature. that's why I copied his name while insulting him. so, sammy calls someone an idiot in order to prove that he is superior, and therefore correct. I then call sammy an idiot and a fag. Clearly I am now superior to the real sammy, and therefore I am now correct.
So now sammy has no choice but to either admit defeat, or call me an idiot-fag-?????? (we'll wait to see what astute name sammy can think of). yes sammy, you are a master debater. So unless sammy comes back here and adds more insults, he is wrong in everything he stated, and I am (as usual) correct.
But of course controlio failed to use insults, making him the most mature of the group, and thereby possibly the correct one. this adds a whole new twist to the GAME (yes, controlio, it's all a game to me. I just like to see how upset these lonely, virgins living in their parents basements get over my ridiculous posts. so far, so good!).

first off.. this is about 3-4 years old now.. who ever posted this is a moron (the dreamcast posted here 'last week' was made back in 2003-4 aswell).. ^ the screen is closer to 5" and was the first portable gamecube around.. since then the creator has made a more visually appealing one.. unskilled? do better or GTFO!

the size is lame! modding isnt really that hard, for old crap like GCN. i dont care about the uglyness, thats ALWAYS fixable.... though it could have been better..... and WAY SMALLER!!!!!! though its still nice to have a portable gamecube.... im thinking it doesnt take much battery life either...

Hum... that thing looks like crap.. but! he did it by it self! so try to do better! and yes he could do with smaller but still its a good preview! well see may be a smaller and rounder portable GCN with a bigger screen! like that fake one! so... just shut up when u say oh looks like crap! cause it is really hard!

this is not that bad compared to some of the other ones I've seen one guy house part of his in a large altoids container

It would do the author of this article well to do a bit deeper research before making a post deriding somebodies portable. for example, The portable gamecube posted was the first portable gamecube EVER BUILT, and it was built over FIVE years ago. he has built several since, and with much nicer cases. Posts like this dont and their following comments do not show any measure of respect to the individuals who build these things. sure some of them might not be pretty but have a little respect for the fact that they built them, and that they work. i would LOVE to see ANY of you build a working, battery operated, fully portable nintendo gamecube and make it smaller and better looking than his newer ones.
