Jan 18 2008Soft Dark Lord Of The Sith: Puppet Palpatine
Darth Sidious is tired of his a-hole reputation and is making a move to try cleaning up his name. Enter Puppet Palpatine, a softer, gentler Dark Lord Of The Sith. The emperor answers questions from his subjects ranging in topic from weaponry to picking up ladies using the Force. In this video he's explaining the alleged design flaw in the Death Star. Oh my god my roommate just walked through here on his way to the kitchen and he was naked. I swear if he goes for the last Pop Tart I'll kill him. And believe it or not, it won't be the first time I've had to explain why my roommate is naked and dead on the kitchen floor with a half-eaten Pop Tart. That's the way the last one went too. I guess they don't read the sign. It's right there by the pantry and is clearly written.
Please don't eat my fucking Pop Tarts or I swear I will Force-choke you to death like Vader does.
Your roommate,I mean it I will kill you.
Ask Palpatine

It's sad... I'm that room mate that walks around naked looking for a snack. I usually still wasted from the night before and don't know i'm doing it. I Just see people with shocked, and then envious looks on their faces.

Brian, did you really want to come to this board and see "first" written again? Sorry to ruin it for you by posting the wrong word.

Um...so I watched the video. Much to your surprise, I'm sure, it was terrible, and I shouldn't've watched it. And why, if he's already the deformed lord of the sith (before Anakin kills him) would the people in the video call him Palpatine? That was his human name; they should've called him by his Sith name (Sidious). Oh well.

I didn't realize what you were doing, there. I thought you were saying either the video or Palpatine were fake. And as much as I can assure you the video is real, it's my sad duty to confirm that, yes, Palpatine is fake.
@6
You're right, you shouldn't have watched it. And do you know why? Because Palpatine is for winners. And until you can put some names on the board, you're not a winner; you don't even get to shine my shoes.
@6
(To get uber-geeky for a moment: didn't they still refer to him as Emperor Palpatine, rather than Darth Sidious, in the OT? I'm pretty sure my calling him Palpatine is valid. And even if it isn't, it's a puppet-powered sketch comedy show.)

yes, clearly not an accurate reenactment. I can't believe that they would post such rubbish without running it by us first.

I'm so confused.

sometimes it's fun to cause chaos and confusion. not necessarily in that order.

#7: wtf? Clearly you fail at life and should quit. "Palpatine is for winners..." ?? Heh, Ok, I needn't say more.
14. Brian Hogg - January 18, 2008 3:32 PM
@13 Seems I wasted a perfectly good movie reference, there.
15. brain hog - January 18, 2008 3:41 PM
@14 - apparently so. mind filling me in on it?
16. Brian Hogg - January 18, 2008 6:31 PM
It was a Glengarry Glen Ross reference. "Coffee is for winners."

it got old after five seconds. funny - but you can hear the strain of his real voice... eh.
