Jan 10 2008Photon Light Boards Are Freaking Sweet

Photon Light Boards are skateboards with incorporated lighting designs so you can pimp it large while you're skating. They come in all sorts of different designs and range in price from $110 - $120 for the board only. You can get a complete setup with trucks and wheels for $200. The best part is that they're rechargeable, so you'll be glowing for the entirety of the board's life. I think they look pretty damn sweet, especially the ones that appear to have headlights and taillights. I dig that. Because let's face it, skateboarding in the dark is dangerous. And so is humping a polar bear. I've tried both I've skated in the dark, and believe me, the results can be disastrous.
Because today is video day at Geekologie there's two videos after the jump, along with a link to the company's website.

That would last a week before a real skater would bust all the lights.

They do not break.. the Leds are solid plastic...u can grind all night and day and nothing will break.........
Real skaters skate them all the time with nothing breaking....

These boards are sick! Some night hill bombs will be sick with headlights to brighten the line! Anybody down for a night session, you will be now!!!

From the creators of Pimp My Ride comes the all new "Pimp My Skateboard..."
I think it's neat. I love LEDs

All visible light consists of photons, so the name is rather dumb...

Yep, this is real congruous with the D.I.Y. ethos of skateboarding.
Know what would be even cooler? Get some of those Reebok shoes that light up when you walk to ride these! Maybe I'll wear some Sean John gear, and instead of actually skating I'll stand around carrying my board trying to pick up chicks. (Sarcasm for the mentally handicapped).

tacobellchipmunk has got it right. you guys are probably the same kids that think snakeboards are cool. and if you think that shit is cool then why not just rollerblade and work the glory hole in the nearest 7-11. Mr. Photon YOU are just another mindless drone who wants to make a quick buck and impress his pathetic friends.

i love it!!! I think any idea that can combine another idea together can succeed in major cash flow. Ideas are universal. I thought of that but only the board was clear. It costs about 30 grand to get the mold. I sell the flashing cups and bracelets at my club. Here in KCMO all the young kids would love to have something daring an different they dont care who hates it.If somebody doesn't hate it aint worth doing. Bad publicity brings more curiosity. When you get ready to put them on the market email mea godd price i will get all your product sold. in here and in Cali. HO and the light up sneakers sol over 4 million pairs in 2008 alone. how many skatboarders are buying boards? Do the math dumbass tacobellchimpmunk!!
