Jan 7 2008LEGO Beowulf Dioramas: Lots Of LEGO Blood

LEGO-beowulf.jpg

Brickshelfer MicahBerger made some pretty good looking Beowulf dioramas featuring gratuitous blood and violence, which, as we all know, is mandatory for a good LEGO diorama. They're appropriately titled "Then came Grendal...He bore God's wrath". And based on the look of these things, there is definitely being some wrath being bored. So it's a good name. You know what else is a good name? La Deda Dingdong, which is actually the name of one of my dog's grandmothers. If you think I'm lying you're wrong. I only lie to my wife. And only about stuff that doesn't matter, like what happened to her engagement ring (I pawned it for $2,000 in ones to spend at a strip joint).

Check out several different pics of the carnage after the jump, and follow the Brickshelf link at the bottom for the whole gallery.

What's a diorama?

- Ralph Wigum

This is turning in to Legologie :|

"Ahm ere t'kill youa mownstah!"

Love the guy splatted into the wall, top right of pic 2!

#2, a diorama is a miniature "model" or something. For instance, in movies (like Earthquake, Independence day, and many many others), they make dioramas (either a single building like the White House in Independence day), or a town or something similar, so they can do with what they'd like. Some scale modelers who do cars and planes make dioramas so they can serve as "backdrops" for their vehicle.

In any case, Very well done, and it does live up to the Beowulf standard of gore. I saw the Gerard Butler version and it was good, but this new one coming out looks too fake (too much CGI), so I'll stick to legos.

Guate6 you're a f***ing idiot.

#2 post was clearly a reference to the Simpsons episode where students were supposed to create dioramas. Ralph Wigum asked what a diorama was while submitting his unopened star wars figurines as the project.

Way to act smart, idiot!
