Well by divine miracle (and my l33t haxoring) Geekologie has been nominated for a Bloggie in the 2008 Best Computers or Technology category. I would like to thank you all for your support and urge you to take a trip over to the Bloggies website and cast a vote for Geekologie. As you can see we're up against some pretty stiff competition. Real stiff. Stiff as hell. The big dogs. But like that story in the bible where the one little dude eats six dozen eggs and a gallon of milk to beat the other bigger dude in the eating contest, you never know.
And if by some fluke Geekologie does win I hereby swear I'll pound an entire fifth of bourbon and convince my girlfriend to have a threesome. I'll even take pictures. Hell, I may even hire Sears Portrait Studio -- after all, this is the bigtime. Now get out there and vote so we can stick it to the man. And by 'the man' I mean my father. He still thinks I'm just some loser that lives in the basement and steals his beer.

Yeah, I mean, what we need is a REAL distraction, you know, like a site that is updated so frequently that you can't even read it all. Yeah, and perhaps a site that takes itself as seriously as it's posters do.

Anyway...sure, I have visited the other sites and all, but I stick around here most. The writing is mostly funny (except when it's just crappy and/or tasteless, but it happens less than often). Geekologie gets my vote.
Though it's quite a hassle having to vote for other crap I don't even bother looking at...like "Best Australian or New Zealand blog" I mean wtf? I don't care. For the rest, I guess It's Christmas Tree time.

Ok, so I tried voting (about 5 times) and it keeps saying "Revise your ballot and try submitting it again." So I vote for Geekologie at heart, but this isn't worth the hassle anymore since their webmaster sucks.

You've got my vote, Geekologie writer. And my (nonsexual) love. Love that I have expressed in the form of a handful of backlinks to your blog. Your blog is by far the funniest technology blog around.
And to those who have issues with the voting- I don't think you have to click every radio button- just the ones you want to vote for. I voted for Geekologie and Kotaku. That's all. No problems.
And for Guate, you have to put your email in at the very bottom. They don't make it very obvious, so I completely understand the issues you were having there.
