Jan 4 2008Geek Weddings Are So Freaking Awesome
Above this text you'll find a video montage of geek weddings, along with some generally geeky couples. Apparently there are a lot more Star Wars and Star Trek themed weddings going on than I thought. Which is awesome, and I'm totally gonna crash the shit out of the next one. Literally. I'm gonna fly my X-wing fighter into the banquet hall and crash land that bitch right in the punchbowl.

One of those "Geek" weddings was a Scottish ceremony! Is that geeky to follow your heritage? Because it wasn't so geeky getting wasted afterward!

@2 - if your heritage involves geekiness, and you follow the geeky parts, then YES, the wedding is geeky.

Guys, lets put it this way. If your fiancé agrees to have WHATEVER you want (geeky or not), then obviously she/he does love you. Am I right? Awesome stuff. I want to have a wedding the HL2 style way. I'll be Gordan and my wife will be Alyx - now that'd be geeky!

HAH! those are pretty awesome...except why is Wario marrying Peach!?
=/
To be honest I wouldn't mind a slice of that Mario Bros cake! =D

#2 I agree. The Scottish ceremony is more "traditional" than geeky. Consequently, if you are a member of the Swiss Guard and marry at the Vatican you can have a full complement at your wedding. Ditto for Knights of Columbus.

Say what you will about them, but look how happy they are. They're doing what they love, not what other people want them to conform to. Way more fun than the typical "generic" by-the-book wedding. Good for them. I usually hate wedding photos, but this made me smile.
