Jan 7 20082880 x 900 Curved Monitor: OMGWTFBBQ!?!
Well I should be at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas right now checking out the latest in gadgets, gambling my life savings away (~$16), and totally getting with hookers. But am I? No. Because my wife wouldn't buy me a damn ticket for Christmas. I hate her so much right now. If she wanted to make it up to me (pay attention honey) she could buy me this nasty-ass Alienware monitor. While just a prototype for now, they expect to have them on the market by the end of 2008.
The 2880 x 900 monitor is "a doublewide curved DLP display with OLED illumination." It mimics peripheral vision, which is awesome, because I was thinking just the other day that my periphs were really missing out on something during the gaming experience. No word on what the price will be, but count on expensive. And you know what else you can count on? Your fingers. It's easy and it makes you look like a kindergartener.

It's nice and all, but did you see how thick that thing is? Man oh man, that's huge! I'll stick to my 10.25' (foot) DLP projector...where it's beyond peripherals...it's like you're there. (and it cost way south of $4k)

Don't worry Complete Geek. We all understand...I believe we have all had some form of urinary disorder at least once in our lives. I know I did..unlike my situation ,however, I highly doubt that you are five years old and coming home from kindergarten waiting in front of your aunt's house because she had do go and buy a pair of shoes.
Oh, it could also be some sort of disease, so if it's usually recurring you might wanna get it checked.

I don't like the fact that it's so thick. If this was an LCD it would be better. This is better: http://www.seamlessdisplay.com/products_radius320.htm
Uses 3 LCDs and seamless. It may not be curved but I prefer it than the alienware
