Dec 14 2007Little Pig Toy Gets Squashed, Retains Shape

smush-pig-toy.jpg

Lokulokus are little pig toys out of Japan that you can smush the hell out of but will regain their piglike shape in a few seconds. They're pretty damn amazing and only cost $2-$3 in Japan. Unfortunately I couldn't find any online, so somone either send me a link to a seller or some of the actual pigs, because they're awesome and I want some. No word on how toxic the stuff they're made of is, but I imagine it's pretty damn toxic. I mean that stuff has properties like nothing I've ever seen. I'm thinking these little bastards came from outerspace. I'm talking alien technology people. I'm just hoping they're friendly aliens, because if the rest of their technology is anything like this, they can destroy us whenever they want (or at least violate our you-know-whats).

UPDATE: Official website (in Japanese) kindly sent to me by Neema

Jesus, it's the f***ing terminator piglet.

Do you think if I did that to my boyfriend's nuts, they would do the same thing?

@Sophie: Absolutely.

Well I guess I know what I'm doing tonight..........

Rubber mallet or brick?

I got a few of those from a Japanese toy vender at the L.A. County fair, it's fun and only cost a few bucks

@Sophie: That's just wrong... this visual is making me cringe *OUCH*. If you had a pair you would not be making comments like that!!!

These are made in China (like everything else that's cheap and bizarre)... my dad bought some around the corner from the factory when he was there earlier this year.

I need one! NOW

Yeah, they're all over the place in China and have been for some time. Vendors come up to you on the street and try to sell them to you.

i read somewhere that they break kind of easily, and are maybe full of some smelly-ish water?

anyway...

@Sophie...
the only reason you'd want to do that is if the bloke cheat on you...if so, I'll help.

it not and you're just into that sort of stuff then you need some help.

Come on... you don't think I'd really smash his nuts? I love his nuts!

yeah, but how do they taste? mmm... toxic goodness

@Sophie....
Wait 'til you taste mine!
Kumkwats anyone?

I'm in Japan right now... any idea which area these piggies hang out in?

Holy f*** that's creepy!

I bought a half dozen of these while I was in South Korea for 1000 Won (~$1) each. I don't know what they're made of, but they smell just like gas - so I'd say they're toxic for sure. Fun though. Just don't throw them on walls that have flat paint or you'll have fun trying peeling them off.

That's the best thing since T2

The T-1000 reincarnated!

Since China is filling everything they ship here with lead (whether on accident or on purpose is unclear), I would venture to say that the toxicity shouldn't be in question, it should just be a simple "yes."

it's positively creepy

I've seen things like that in the UK, not pigs though.

I had one of these a few days ago that someone gave me. Only, it was pink. And sprung a leak and deflated after I threw it around a few times. But it was fun while it lasted.

i'm in korea now and buy these just about every weekend. they're sold on street corners everywhere. also, they sell various fruit shapes (like tomatoes). they DO break after you throw them around a LOT. mostly they start leaking from little holes. i LOVE THEM.

Funny pig :)

my parents got me two of these when they were in china
these things rock
but if u splat them 2 much they start to look funky
and they attract 2 much dirt
but its so fun XD

Those squish toys arent a big deal in hong kong, you could get those here in hong kong for like a cent =.=
and they come in all shapes and colours, including fruits, veggies, poop, dildos, boobs and anything obscene, lol

anyone know where someone can get one of the clear ones?

awww i want one

These are only 500 won in Korean subways :)

when i was in japan a couple of weeks earlier, i tried looking for these from every capsule dispenser (gacha-gacha) and ufo catcher i came across. no luck. but just tonight here in shanghai, my wife and i saw them being sold by a street vendor at the subway exit! 5RMB (68 cents) each! what a nice way to cap a day of sightseeing.=) got a tomato and RAT version as well...

It looks like fun. Lol, I want one.

My friend had one of those a few years back. Its pretty damn amazing, but i only got to hold it. *tear tear*

hey i actually had this thing. it was given to me by my gf's mum, she said if u are stress plz dont put your anger on my daughter, just throw this pig... she brought it from china.

@moses: LOL I got mine from China too!!! I have like, 12 of them at home. I'm totally obsessed with them. =D I splat them almost every day. =3
