Nov 5 2007Man Sells Massive Video Game Collection

A video game fanatic is selling his entire collection of systems and games on ebay, that represent 30+ years of gaming. There are 1,768 items included in the auction. There are also several copies of many systems (so if you buy it you can send me the extra). The following are just the systems included.
The following systems are represented in this auction: Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari Jaguar, Atari Lynx, Coleco ColecoVision, Coleco Gemini, Coleco Telstar, Commodore 64/128, GCE Vectrex, Mattel Aquarius, Mattel Intellivision, Mattel Odyssey 2, Microsoft Xbox, Microsoft Xbox 360, APF TV Fun, Miscellaneous Handheld Games, Miscellaneous PC Games, SC Eight Thousand, Sega Pods, Miscellaneous TV Games, NEC Turbo Duo, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Game Boy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo NES, Nintendo Nintendo 64, Nintendo Super NES, Nintendo Virtual Boy, Nintendo Wii, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Game Gear, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Sega Saturn, SNK Neo Geo, SNK Neo Geo Pocket, Sony Playstation, Sony Playstation 2, Texas Instruments TI 99/4A, VM Labs Nuon.
The ebay auction page couldn't hold all the info, check out this page for pictures and an entire listing of what's included. He estimates the value of everything at $14,639, and has a Buy It Now price set at $10,979. Shipping will run another $1,533! The current bid is $2,225 with 4 days and 19 hours remaining.
I'm very happy to see this guy moving on with his life past video games and finally hoping to go out there and score with a lady. You can tell he hasn't because the pictures strongly suggest he lives in his mother's basement. Now I'm not saying he hasn't had sex before, I'm just saying he is so far from ever having sex before he has no idea what his penis is.
A few more pictures after the jump, but check the link in the text for a ton more.

8. sexius maximus - November 5, 2007 6:12 PM
by the looks of the pipes and high windows it looks like he lives in a basement, probably hes parents....so boredom, im pretty sure he wouldve gotten laid

I like how since it's a basement, everyone assumes it's his parents.
If I was selling over ten thousand freaking dollars worth of equipment, I don't really think I'd be too amped about destroying my living room just to show it off for eBay.
And if I was a gaming addict who never got laid, I would make use of all the equipment, not display it neatly in rows.

I'm not really too worried about who's selling all of the games but who's buying them all.
11. sexius maximus - November 5, 2007 10:01 PM
well i like how you assume that everyone thinks exactly the same as me, anyway i live in australia and we dont have basements here, so when i see one i make the most of it and fantasise about everything that takes place in there. They sure are wonderful rooms......
12. Ryan - November 5, 2007 10:01 PM
There's no question thats a basement... and by looking at the collection, I'm sure its his parents basement.
what do you think of http://www.16000miles.com ?
13. Kesy - November 5, 2007 10:16 PM
He should be selling this as individual pieces. He'd make more money that way. And why would he ever sell it? D:
14. TRavel Blogger - November 6, 2007 12:13 AM
I see, now he will have time to masturbate.
15. Fargus - November 6, 2007 12:29 AM
I really can't take this guy seriously. He didn't have a Sega 32X, a Sega CD, or a Turbografx 16.
16. boredom - November 6, 2007 7:53 AM
@8 you are right, I didn't even glance past the games to see it's his parents basement so of course girls would have been flocking to his door. Of course that is to say we're assuming it's a guy because you never know (yeah right).
17. Sugreev - November 6, 2007 8:12 AM
I think this guy is a big idiot for selling all his games.
18. Jorge Kooney - November 6, 2007 9:34 AM
My advice, insure the lot heavily and light it up! Wala big money! Now move out of the country b4 big insurance figures out you scammed them!
19. Jerry - November 6, 2007 11:24 AM
Moving on? He's probably selling it so he can afford a PS3.
20. AtriumXP - November 6, 2007 11:50 AM
Look at the stacks of burned Dreamcast games on the spindles in pic 4. Pretty sure that's illegal :p
21. satcom39 - November 6, 2007 12:31 PM
Timex Sinclare 1000? ...eh!... Don't see one in that mess.
22. Blair - November 6, 2007 4:04 PM
Why does it have to be a guy, it could be a chick. If it is a guy he could be selling it because he got laid and might be getting married or something of that sort. Maybe his long time of collecting games finally took em to the next level. He/She got a job for a major game company or anything. And lets be real, whose parents are going to let them keep all that crap in their home.
23. VGM - November 6, 2007 5:21 PM
this virgin doesn even have a ps3 dickweed
24. guate6 - November 6, 2007 11:07 PM
Current Bid: $6,800 with 3 days, 13 hours
25. Naruelle - November 7, 2007 3:55 AM
Dude this guy's married, apparently he's getting laid. Its his basement too and they are trying to get rid of the stuff in the basement to refinish it. :/ too bad though, im like 96 percent sure its his wife making him throw stuff out.
He's selling it as a collection so he can just part with it rather than in pieces. how sad.
He does have a PS3 he's just not including it with the collection because he wants to keep the new ones.
26. guate6 - November 7, 2007 11:46 AM
Current bid: $7,600 with 3 days left
27. Atrieds - November 7, 2007 5:43 PM
What, no Panasonic?!
28. Trowzersgal - November 7, 2007 8:33 PM
Re: VGM saying that he doesn't have a PS3.
How do you know? He might have, but isn't *Selling* it. Maybe he's shafting all his old stuff becuase he got a PS3?
I also find all the comments about him being a loser, geek or virgin hilarious. What site are you reading again, guys????? Lol.
29. wayne - November 7, 2007 10:23 PM
I had most of the consoles myself. I would never part with my original NES collection. The NES will always be #1.......................LONG LIVE DUCK HUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
30. Anonymous - November 8, 2007 2:03 PM
This guy doesn't even have much desirable stuff. If his collection included some decent games, this might be interesting.
My guess is that he's just selling off the old crappy ones and keeping the best (aka - things he might actually play again) for himself.

"My guess is that he's just selling off the old crappy ones and keeping the best (aka - things he might actually play again) for himself."
I'll have to disagree with that one. If that were the case, he wouldn't be departing with Uniracers for the SNES. One of the best games EVAR.
32. My Bojangles - November 28, 2007 2:46 PM
Check out Dreamcast picture. Are those spindles or Pirated Games. RRRRRRRR.
Just an observation, hehe.
