Nov 9 2007Cell Phone Pen Coming Soon, Getting Lost Soon After (Plus A Fun Fill In The Blank!)
Allegedly an employee of an undisclosed company that has been working on development of this phone sent some info to Gizmodo so that the company could "gauge interest in such a device". Well knowing how bonkers people are over cell phones, I imagine people will want it. Real bad. Not much more info except the two circles on the side of the unit are the earpiece and receiver. So, yeah. Some jerk with Photoshop probably made this as a prank. But if not I only have one important question. Does it write? I bet these bastards made a pen phone and forgot to put ink in it. How worthless! What good is a pen-shaped phone that doesn’t write? No good! Unless you...[fill in the blank]

8.7 INCHES!?!?
Has anybody stopped to think what 8.7 inches looks like? (I personally wouldn't know. The shame...)
If it's 8.7 inches long, looking at the picture, it's pretty damned fat, too. They really didn't shrink a large phone down into a small pen so much as they took a large phone, and reshaped it into a large, cylindrical, phone. Way to go. Good use of science; a new shape. Yay.

It reminds me of the Matrix phone that came out when the Matrix was in a big hype. They made a limited number, sold for ridiculous prices, and all they could do was make/receive calls (that's it).

Why would a phone with only a basic two colour LED display (circa 1997) require a micro SD slot? To store the several bazilion contacts you have? Honestly you don't need to mention photoshop to let us know this is fake as can be
