Nov 27 2007Bright Blinds: Add A Window To A Blank Wall

Two Japanese designers have created Bright Blinds, which are blinds to be hung on blank walls to give the appearance of a window underneath. Electroluminescent sheeting is responsible for the simulated daylight, and the amount of light emitted is controlled via the same methods as traditional blinds. Not nearly as cool as Philip's Dynamic Daylight Window, but a neat concept none-the-less. Except they won't work. It's like the time I tried to cheer myself up at the office, despite working in a windowless interior cubicle. You know what I did? I drew a window on my whiteboard -- with a beach outside, complete with palm trees and bikini babes. And let me tell you, that shit didn’t work worth a damn. If anything I was even more depressed.

Completely useful, realistic fake window won't help your social life one bit [sci-fi]

there is no need for this item, our world is a place of beauty and polluted with human invention. the very thing we desotry with condensed living space is yet what we want artificially with such an item. the earth will not yield to such irrational beings. i am sorry but we are doomed. social reform and way of mind must undergo dramtic revoultion. Though i have seen many battles as a samurai and have gone through manny hardships, i cannot defeat human stupidity and their transient items. there are just too many stupid people.
the way of the samurai...

Hey, number 5 (or "Ok", if that IS your real name..) you're a douche. Firstly, you are not a samurai, so shut up. Secondly, no one is gonna build a room without a window specifically for the purpose of putting one of these in, idiot. This product is for peopls who dont have any windows in their rooms for whatever reason; over crowding, small appartments, refugee camps etc.
I think it's a cool product.
