Oct 2 2007Numeric Keypad + Mouse = Numeric Mouse!

I work almost exclusively from the john, so my computing is typically done via a laptop perched on the sink. Well my little laptop doesn't have a numeric keypad, so when I have to punch in numbers to work out how much I owe in alimony this month, it's a pain. Enter the numeric keypad mouse. For about $28, you can purchase the lovechild of a horny keypad and very slutty mouse. They come in black or white (although the white looks silver to me) and may save you some time while avoiding the shift key. I know I'm going to buy one. Then I'm going to realize that I don't use a mouse on the john and stuff it in a desk drawer to be forgotten.

And what a great idea!

they should put the numlock key somewhere out of the way, or youll end up typing numbers while using the mouse. And by "youll" I mean "me'll".

Finally! All those times I've been telling myself, "They should really put a calculator on this mouse," can come to an end. Now, if they invent a keyboard with a sno-cone dispenser, I'll be all set.

you can also get one from HP ($37), 3M ($40), or Adesso ($20)

I'll get one for my grandmother, tell her it's a phone and LMAO watching her try to make calls.

the Adesso mouse has a plastic flip lid over the keypad, so you don't enter number by accident (and by "you", I mean "I"). of course, closing it to get to the mouse buttons, then reopening to enter more numbers might get annoying after a while

Well it definetly looks ergonomic. I would probably cut my hand up squeezing that brick of a mouse.

i think this is totally useless, big and bulky and one could barely play games using it. then who`s the target of this product? 60 years old accountants?

@MB: by "CAPS LOCK" you mean "shift", but both should be "NUM LOCK".

Anyone who thinks this is not a good idea has never had to do weekly expense reports on a laptop.
