Oct 5 2007Kyokusen Watch Tells Time, Somehow

I love the watches at Tokyoflash, because I really appreciate a timepiece that is hard to read. The Kyoshen ($120) is surprisingly less confusing than many of the other watches they sell. Yellow bars are hours, red circle dots are five minute increments, and the green dots are single minutes. See, simple as pie. Just wait till someone asks you what time it is. Say "let me just check my wa... OH JESUS, SOMEONE'S STRAPPED A BOMB TO MY ARM!!" then push them to the ground, and walk away.
One more of the time telling directions, along with a couple more of my favorites, after the tick.

This is something that Rick Deckard from Blade Runner would wear...

What the fuck? One of those red lights is completely superfluous. There are 12 red lights, but you only need 11 red lights, 4 green lights and 12 bars to represent any given time.

I am so glad they came out with an accessory that I can wear with my members only jacket, parachute pants and dockers boat shoes!

for the first time in a long while i'm looking at a geekologie entry and saying "ya know, i'm actually tempted"
#4 - you're right, tis strange indeed. i'm only guessing that mignight, which technically should be 0 lights, is 12 lights and then it flicks straight back to 1. which is no bad thing. basically means 1 extra light always on - more lights = more good.

ok bit of a random query - i'm genuinely going to get one and upon checking out the tokyoflash site they've gone and confused my little mind by offering a choice of colours. which is cooler - the black/blue, black/green or silver/multi coloured options?

if anyone cares about some stupid watch that some stupid random geekologie commentor might possibly buy, i wouldn't mind hearing opinions :-]

That's actually rather cool.
I want one.

So it's 10:39 where they are when they took the pic. At least looks like 10:39, tho hard to tell am or pm. I always get am and pm mixed up after partying too much, waking up at 7 at night next day, thinking it's 7 in the morning, sleeping some more, than realizing the day's gone!

I bought one the moment I saw it. Multi-color'd is the way to go, as it'll make telling time that much easier.
and orange is cool.

Bout time tokyo flash hot Geekologie! I've got a lot of watched from them, and they rock.
I would say the silver and multi coloured LED is cooler, but, i would, thats the one i've ordered.
