Sep 19 2007Star Wars Personal Theater Is Cool

Vic Wertz and Lisa Stevens, who used to run the Official Star Wars Fan Club, had this home theater made to resemble the control deck of the Death Star. It was designed by Doug Chiang who was the lead designer in Episodes I and II. All the stars are lit up via LEDs, and the massive DVD collection is hidden behind a Han Solo in Carbonite door (which could be made of turds and be better than this one). Throw in a golden bikinied Princess Leia chained to the chair and my privates would be in hyperdrive.

One more after the jump.

This, my friends, is what Heaven looks like.

No my friend heaven would not have Ep 3 playing on the tv....unless it was the part where Hadenkin turns into a crispy hobbit repeated over and over that may be heaven

At first, I was shocked that this personal theater didn't have a single seat large enough for two people. You know, in case you wanted to watch a movie with a girl or something.

Then, I stepped back, noted the decor, and decided the issue of where to seat a girl in this room was purely academic.

I grew up on Star Wars and that might be the dumbest f***ing thing I've ever seen in my life.

I never understood the thinking behind having individual seating in luxe home theater setups. For instance, what's wrong with having a couple rows of long, curved couches? Maybe even just one row?

WANT!!

Does it seriously come with Boba Fett? Rockin.

Epic is a geek "This, my friends, is what Heaven looks like." But have you read the Legacy of the Force Series Jacon Solo.... sith lord... wtf!!!

Granted the speakers are really great and ungodly expensive and all but having them exposed like that really ruins the effect.

No, this in not cool. This is a waste of money.
