Sep 25 2007Gun + High Speed Camera = Awesome

Because shooting things is almost as much fun as stabbing them, I like guns. So why not fire some bullets through household objects and catch the action with a high speed camera. Sure, it's not a new concept, but I'm not letting that trivialize the quality of my boner right now.
Four more after the jump, including the flower I'm getting my cheating bitch of a girlfriend.
UPDATE: The photographer's name is David Neff, his flickr album can be viewed here, and his prints are available for sale if you contact him.

looks like he was a lousy shot with the pencils.

Now I know that Office Depot pencils are smarter than crayola crayons.

Is it just me or does that look like it could be hung on a wall and called art?! I want one!
6. sam - September 25, 2007 2:58 PM
Some of these look fake. For instance, why would the match be already halfway lit with the bullet still in the frame?
7. Starbucks Addict - September 25, 2007 4:08 PM
Absolutely amazing - especially the one with the rose. We've all been "there."

That guy's a pretty damn good shot, but it was probably done with a post and mechanical aim, amirite? Still, cool as hell.
@2, lulz. They moved.
@3 & 5, I want a print of each of 'em.

I think these could make awesome prints - and the fact that he used a bullet to light the match instead of my rough & tumble beard makes him far cooler than I.

I am the photographer (David Neff) of these images. I don't know who took them without my permission but I don't mind as long as you credit me properly and link my site. Prints are available for sale. They are all real, no photoshop.

Your Flickr site is amazing. You have a ton of talent.

Well, I think David missed a trick here, surely he should have used Nerf guns? That would be brilliant.
13. Ted - September 26, 2007 5:04 AM
Oh to be able to read. Its David Neff, not Nerf. I suppose its right he didnt use nerf guns.
14. TetterkeT - September 26, 2007 6:16 AM
Fuck pencils AND crayons.

Hey David, if you are still reading - did you do one of these several years ago with an apple, or was that someone else?
16. david neff - September 26, 2007 11:47 AM
If you mean the 308 through the apple that was made by Harold Edgerton from MIT. He is the reason I do high speed imaging. check him out on google.

Everyone check out David Neff's Flickr. There's more bullet shots including my favorites, Bratz dolls being shot in the head! I hate those ugly Bratz, they should all be shot.

They should have used a five dollar bill.
