Sep 25 2007Gamercize Makes You Exercise To Play

A new version of the Gamercize exercise machine is about to drop, and it's wacker than ever. It will be available for all the new video game systems (360, PS3, Wii), and makes you exercise in order to play games. You can get a stair-stepper machine, or bike pedals, and as long as you're exercising, your remote will work. If you stop (read: your heart explodes), then your controller does too (but you'll be dead anyways). Might be a good idea for obese kids if it was tamper proof, but as it is now they would have the thing unplugged and a face full of Little Debbies before you could yell "Who the f ate the last Star Crunch?"

Before all the 'haha you said 'fist' instead of 'first' jokes', in all seriousness, what are your thoughts on the subject?
Do you like it?
If not, why?
Have you done it?
If so, who to and did they enjoy it?
etc etc.

It would be awesome to live in a reality where chicks were hot, loved videogames, and at the same time wanted to work on making their butts tighter whilst wearing form fitting clothes. Or naked. So we could do "it"

I'm confused.
Aren't the controllers for these new systems all wireless? What are all those crazy black snake-things on the floor in the picture?

Oh man, I would so want one if it were different, like in order to make your character move, you have to be working out, not that the controller only works when you're working out, I mean, that's just poopy.

Pretty pointless. There's no incentive to exercise if there's no correlation between the speed of peddling/stepping and the action in the game. I'd rather a Reebok Cyberider withe games specially made for it. Like Tour de France game than lets you push competitors off their bike Road Rash style.

This machine is too good to work and to look at it increases the fitness levels in the female body builders and its very good for the females builders to work on this machines.

"There's no incentive to exercise if there's no correlation between the speed of peddling/stepping and the action in the game"
But that's the real point, isn't it? If there were interaction then you'd know all about the effort you put in. Working out with prompt to keep you moving if you stop is stealth fitness, you end up not noticing it.
Besides, if there were interaction it would just hack me off, I want to play the game it was meant to be played, and play any game I want to play and not have to worry about peddling fast enough when games are about skill and reaction.
Just my 5 cents.

Yes, this is all why we play video games, to exercise.
I dont know about you all, but i like to juggle my TV that so happens to be hooked up to my PS3 i lug around in a back pack, whilst juggling my controller to continue playing my favorite game while loosing that extra 5 lbs.
