Aug 16 2007Jetpacks Are Awesome

The 2007 Rocketbelt Conference in Niagara Falls just took place this past weekend, and based on the pictures and video, I'd say it was awesome. Growing up in a brothel, I always wanted a jetpack so I could fly away and say goodbye to sad times forever. Well twenty years later, I'm still here, and only now am I starting to think that these jetpacks are getting safe enough for me to finally say goodbye. I mean sure there has always been a door, but nothing quite says "I'm getting away from you crazy hookers" like blasting through the roof with a jetpack and crash helmet.

At Star Wars Celebration III or IV.. one of the guys dressed as a movie-accurate Boba Fett built a replica jetpack that he flew 30 feet into the air in
Now this jetpack that was posted about looks almost exactly like it. It even performs the same way. I wonder if it's the same guy?
(to see the flying Boba Fett, check it out on youtube)

give those to our military. That would be awesome so see a fleet of soldiers flying around with those things....they would totally kick some ass.

The problem is the same as it was with the old Bell jetpack.
It's a lot of trouble for a 15-second flight eight feet in the air.
