Jul 3 2007PSP street marketing

Sony has put together this guerrilla marketing campaign for the PSP. It's basically a fake book cover to let you play your PSP in peace. Because as all gamers know, nothing fools the Man like a fake copy of The Divine Comedy.

cause when you´re frantically thumbing the controls on your handheld time wasting vortex nobody will find it uncharacteristic of any other literature fan

What if you're a pale female like myself?
I think my friends would be suspicious if I suddenly grew tan man hands.
Then again....Maybe not.

Why are the hands upside down? Or wait...are they upside down or does the model just have freakishly long pinkie fingers?

Fantastic! now one can jerk off on public transport, if one were so inclined.

A transfer tattoo of a swastika on my forehead and shouting obscenities at the games like, "Yeah swallow it Kirby you big pink $*%^!!" seems to work for me when I play my Nintento GBA... Nobody bothers me at all.
If I had to read The Devine comedy I'd stick a picture of me playing the PSP on the front .....to lessen the shame. (I'd rather read Paris Hilton's prison diaries.)

follow up:
i just realized that comment #3 was probably about the fact that the hands are white and not about black people being unable to read in general...
its really not that funny in that case... also, its really not racist, in that case...

#9 -- Good call.
If you wanted to create a fake book, you should at least have the title on the spine typed the right way. The title should go the other way on the spine.
And an author somewhere on the cover might help, too.

oh, i wouldn't automatically assume that #3 meant that in a racist way. i'm black, and i didn't think anything of it till i read the further comments. if they had wanted it to be interpreted differently, then they would probably have said more. nad if you are thinking "well, why didn't they say 'what if you're East Indian' or something else" - some people live in a world where there is just black and white, and no other ethnicity is really thought of. i know - i lived in that world all the way until my junior year of high school!

if only they had that for my tamogatchi back in '96! school would have been so much more interesting.

Ya, where do you get it? I would photoshop it to work for me, but it is a neat idea...
