Jul 5 2007"Life's too short for the wrong job"

These are some old (but still clever) ads for a European job search site, with the tag line: "Life's too short for the wrong job." Which I'd normally agree with, but I've been a land mine tester for years and life is great. Sure, I don't have any more of my limbs, but who needs arms and legs when you're rolling in that sweet land mine testing money.

I love it. Why can't we have witty , creative ads like that here in the US? Instead we have crap where people run around in bikinis drinking some beverage and walking around pastures after taking some medication.

Taking medication and wandering pastures was one of my favourite pastimes in high school and college.

Dammit, show the ad on the side of the Tokyo vending machine that dispenses used ladies panties.
Or even the add on the side of an arcade game of Mortal Kombat - it's me with two sock puppets on my hands.

very creative advertising. i wonder how long it`s gonna take for the people that actually perform those jobs (not in the vending machines of course) , to sue the adverting company and the customer for discrimination and for presenting their job as crap.

I don't think they will get sued, the company is in Europe, not America.

Goddammit. All the ads I see are either porn-ish, or yelling BUY BUY BUY BUY! Like Corona ads. Nothing witty and funny like this.

You don't walk around pastures after taking medication? That's your problem.
