Designer Gerd Rothmann from Germany has created the Family Ring, which is similar to the fingerprint wedding band, except that instead of just putting your spouse's fingerprint on your ring you can put your entire family's. Well, up to four of them at least. Unfortunately, the ring itself is hideous. This is what you would get if you were asked to design a ring and put as little effort into it as possible. They just took a block and drilled a hole through it.

LOL FIRST WAZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

1 Your name should read just 'moron'

How can you call that thing a ring. More like some bavarian cock ring or something..

I just figured, all these other people are having fun doing it, why shouldn't I?

first it was clocks now it's fingerprint rings. c'mon man. wtf.

I didn't say you couldn't have fun....
BTW Do you pronounce your name Moron-o? Or Mor-a-no? LOL

The second O is pronounced as in "Automobile" (The Au)

Why wouldn't the designer just make the ring round, it would fit more fingerprints and not look like you found the ring in a toolbox...

that thing is huge if you wore that you wouldn't be able to close your fingers together!
which is the worst fate.

That looks almost painful to wear.

as a jewelry major i can already tell you that;
a) the piece is cast. he made it in wax and did a lost wax cast. he did not just drill through it.
b) square rings are really not that bad. that ring is smaller than it looks.
c) as far as contemporary art jewelry is concerned, this ring is conservative.

check these rings out...

remember, these are wearable art pieces.

I'm still waiting for his most private piece, the Family Jewels.

I like the design.

I used to design modern jewelry years ago when it first came out. I might have used a larger number of faces for bigger families, which might have a visual advantage, but basically it is a somewhat original design which I appreciate.
