Jun 14 2007Insane Boeing 747 Landing
I can't tell if this is the best landing I've ever seen or the worst. But it's definitely the most insane. I'm pretty sure the pilot got his license out of the inside of a Cracker Jacks box.

Insane 747 Landing and by insane you mean insanely old ?
3. courtney - June 14, 2007 3:27 PM
also insanely fake...a Boeing 747 comes that close to you and no one, out of instinct ducks? I find that VERY hard to believe. No one even flinched!
4. Freaquency - June 14, 2007 3:31 PM
Actually, it's real. It's a runway on the Caribbean island of St. Martin. I visited there one summer, and it really is just like that.

Although I can't view youtube at work anymore, I'm pretty sure I've seen this. Not nearly as sweet as the video of the airliner landing almost sideways in a heavy crosswind.

Courtney is insanely stupid to think that was fake-- probably the only thing fake is the blond hair on her head! FLINCH THIS YO ! HOLLA! 420

9. Amy - June 14, 2007 4:26 PM
Either that or they're the most skilled pilot EVER.
10. Mike - June 14, 2007 4:47 PM
Not the pilot is insane, but the people actually walking so close, and the car driving so close... but the runway in Sint Maarten is known for that. 1 flight a day apparently!
11. Beef - June 14, 2007 4:49 PM
This is real. I have been to St Maarten and this is the approach for the SW runway. They do not have the FAA regulations there like we have. All the planes come in like that, it just looks more insane when it is a 747 due to the travel of the landing gear, he is actually about 250ft off the ground.
12. Joe Mamma - June 14, 2007 5:03 PM
I have seen the same footage but of a plane taking off from that runway. It comes right to the end there and then blows people off the beach when it powers up its engine. This is the first landing video I have seen.
13. icerat - June 14, 2007 6:58 PM
Absolutely real, St Maarten as mentioned. I've flown in and out of that airport, as well as been on that beach.
14. scottsmetroid - June 14, 2007 7:48 PM
He's 250ft above the ground??????
Doesn't bloody look like it
15. Cait - June 14, 2007 8:13 PM
Uh... no. It's not 250 feet off the ground, and the footage is definately not real. Either all of that, or it's not a 747.

I concur with #13, been there, seen it, very cool. Watching them take off is pretty interesting as they have the clear the mountains on the way out.

You people will scream fake at anything. Seriously.
19. J Bills - June 15, 2007 2:29 AM
Beef, the Wikipedia article says the clearance is between 30 to 60 feet.
20. Kelsey - June 15, 2007 3:38 AM
I love that freaking beach. And yea, who ever is saying this is fake, dude, you're so wrong. I stayed at that hotel (right next to that very beach) and watched planes come in and out of that air port all day for a full week.
Some people actually stand on that beach WAITING for a plane to come in or leave and fling them into the water. It's great. I wanna go back :/

Check google for more images :) http://images.google.com/images?q=sint+maarten+airport&hl=en&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0

Heard about this airport from a friend. And it's not fake... What it is, is an accident waiting to happen :-)
And the reason they come in that low is due to the length of the runway. They have to touch down as soon as possible, otherwise the pilot won't be able to stop the plane in time.
Nice pics Davide (#21)
23. dijhili - June 15, 2007 7:46 AM
Just look at some google images and you can see its real...they also have a variety of planes that show this. It is real and for those who think its fake, that's not really your dad.

28. Cait sucks too much dick to know anything - June 15, 2007 4:56 PM
People should research things before they call them fake.
(and by research, I mean "use google")
29. shawn - June 15, 2007 4:58 PM
Seems like autopilot...
30. Dave Bowman - June 15, 2007 9:33 PM
I could do that, but I don't want to.
31. Alex - July 1, 2007 10:04 AM
This is St Marteen, this is not fake, it is happening everyday. I am from the island and actually a co pilot myself. I believe the government needs to ban peeps from using the beach in time of landing... I agree that an accident is waiting to happen.
32. BigBossBunny - September 14, 2007 8:40 AM
hmm, this is fake, why you may ask, the plane that close would of sounded much - much more louder then the wind blowing, listen closely to the sound... :P
33. Sarcasm - November 29, 2007 2:47 PM
hmm those of you calling fake....DO SOME GODAMN RESEARCH!!!
the location has already been given, there are MANY videos of planes landing and taking off from there....it's rather well documented that this happens....f***ing tools
34. franco - January 19, 2009 1:36 AM
it's real , that happens in the st. marten airport, you can look in youtube or in google... when i went there and landed in that airport it was very frightening because you think you are going to crash haha

Reply- Pmsl.. How is that fake, People do duck and the reason no one flinches is cause they are used to it. Dumbass.
36. Definite Fake - April 18, 2009 1:30 AM
it is a fake because smaller planes blow cars and buses away, and that tiny ass car didn't ebd up in the ocean??? yep FAKE
