Jun 6 2007Game Boy iPod Case

The Game Boy iPod Case is an iPod case made out of a vintage black and white Game Boy. The iPod is actually controlled through the Game Boy controls so you can change the song and volume with the case closed. It works with the original iPod Mini and also the Nano, and costs $30. It won't protect your iPod the way a titanium case might, but you'll never have more fun changing the songs. Unless you happen to change your songs while going down a water slide. In which case never mind.

First suckas

Congratulations on having nothing better to do with your life than troll the internet and post "first". Your mother must be so proud.

This thing is kinda funny, but doesn't it nullify the whole compact and portable aspect of the mini/nano? I mean, have you seen an old school Game Boy recently? They're huge. Much bigger than I remember them being, and my hands were a lot smaller back then.

And here I was sitting here thinking "My iPod is just too slim and sexy and convenient." I'm glad they found a way to resolve this problem.

I want that. I used--Am a huge gameboy freak. And portability never mattered much to me, anyways. My iPod's always in my backpack. *shrug*

Ha ha ha ha ha.... sorry about that...

Just had a cracking idea. If there is someone out there desperate enough to pay money to make their ipod look retro... then how long before someone makes a case out of a Walkman?... Oh the irony!

Or possibly a Boombox... or a gramophone... or a rock?

Two things.
One: I have no iPod, and never planned on getting one, but I might just have to purchase one so that I can totally blow everyones mind with this case.

Second: Having your expensive piece of music playing equipment in this would probably outsmart thieves. Who's going to break out your car window for an old black and white 80's(?) style gameboy? His name is Joey Schremp, but thats beside the point.

Three: I am freaking amazed at how many of you own an iPod. Why the iPod brand, and why not do like me. My car stereo plays mP3's and has both USB and SD card slots on front. At home, music originates on one of my PC's. I can't think of many situations where I would need to listen to music when another method wasn't available. But, at least they can act as portable hard disks.

Fourth: Why do I have no idea how to count or how to correctly use counting words?

Five: Why did I just waste all that time when I should be working?

to the poster above:

omg just shut up.

nobody cares about your 5 list rant.

and thanks for the cheesy engine animation. it gave my 12yr old a nice giggle.

What are you doing at home at this time a day? Looking for a job? We are looking for shop monkeys.

I've seen those cassette adaptors for iPod. Every time I do, I wonder how long it will be before they make one for the iPod shuffle or Nano where the iPod actually sits inside the cassette body.

i'm not home dingbat.

hmm i guess all of this is a sign that i need to get an ipod.
Then i can buy the millions of cases and attachments taht go with it and change them as often as my mood!
Hey that is what they should make now, a mood case, you know like a mood ring cuz i mean if you're already owning one of the lameass cases might as well go ahead and kill two birds with one stone (but we really dont want to kill anybirds so dont do that)

I just like that that gameboy is listening to Counting Crows. Me likey.

i'd actually get that... if i could afford an ipod nano, or if my ipod mini still worked... neither is going to happen anytime soon though

Rachel, you really need to learn to use the internet. Or at least stop using your Commador 64.

That gives me a great idea! I'm going to make a case for my DVD remote out of an old DVD player, and you can actually use the buttons on the DVD player to remote control your real DVD player!

this lks cool but it kinda ruins the portability of an ipod especially a "mini"

HAHA, why would anyone want to do that though? It would make it huge!
