Everglide is a bicycle designed by Frag Woodall that transforms into a backpack. And, uh, that's all.

When will companies quit designing these douchy looking collapsable bikes that no one wants to ride. The fold up mountain bikes were good enough, and I still haven't bought one of those. And how is the drive transmitted from the pedals to the wheels? Tiny wheels mind you. It'd be easier to carry the bike as backpack than it would be to ride the damn thing. Again with the solid modeled concepts.

The sec you hit a pebble you would go flying over the "handlebars" or it would just snap in half. Then your pens and paperclips would scatter everywhere. Along with your Starwars action figures/dolls that you were carring on your way to the convention center. NERDS!!!

I'm noticing a distinct lack of snark.

I agree with Joe
I can't see these things being used ouside airports or offices. Am I the only one here that secretly longs to clothes-line a member of the airport staff and steal their scooter?
In reality I know I'd only do it to see if airport security came after me on their attack scooters/buggies...

Stupid fuck, this bicycle is also a pda, cellphone charger, that's the whole point to it...
11. Personal Robot Jesus - June 7, 2007 6:28 PM
They already have those, Jirwen. They're called "PDA and cellphone chargers"
Do you have any idea how long you'd have to crank a dynamo system to actually charge a cellphone battery?
It already takes about 3 hours for a typical 1100 mAh Li-Ion battery running off a 12 volt car charger to be fully recharged; imagine using a dynamo?
Not to mention, the low voltage produced by a dynamo would necessitate a transformer in order to charge the battery; otherwise it'd just bleed it. You'd need specific tips (similar to the way the iGo system functions) for each device; in short, a dynamo system isn't a particularly efficient function.

Yet another concept of a 2-in-1 device that does niether well. Who would wnt to ride a bike like that? And who would want to wear a backpack that looks like that? ugly, ugly, ugly......

If you could store stuff in the bulky part, I would totally buy that.
