Jun 19 2007Bomba Flip Clock
Dutch designer Will Vanden Vos has reinvented the classic flip clock from the seventies and called it the Bomba Alarm Clock. He removed the casing to expose the inner-workings, and the clock is illuminated by two LEDs. They're currently only available in Japan for about $80. And me? Well I'm available for free. Call me, ladies.

Getting back on topic - nice artistic piece. Would probably consider buying if made available to Canada.

This is very cool, but I don't know about using it as an alarm clock. I have a hard enough time falling asleep as it is, and don't need to hear the damn digits flip me out of my snooze every minute. Plus, with the way I toss and turn, I'm bound to get my hair tangled in its gears. Long beautiful hair, like Fabio.

Of course, the best thing somebody could do with this would be to take it to the mall, toss it to some stranger in a panic while saying "Here, you deal with this!" Or you could pretend to diffuse it and say the inevitable "I'm getting too old for this shit" or "I need a vacation"

This is the one thing on this site in the past couple of days that actually seems practical. There has to be some kind of catch. I bet it only runs on the blood of your enemies.

because the first thing I do in my day, is wake up and hope there will be a new clock on the market for me to buy, thus completing my collection from Geekologie

Haha, bomb jokes.
Better yet, what if the catch was...
It detonates near your head to awaken you in the morning?
Nothing says rise and shine to me like shrapnel in my temple. : )
