May 3 2007Tubular clock tells time with words

This tubular clock uses words to describe time instead of numbers, similar to the Verbarius clock.
Time is displayed on the Tubular Time Clock in phrases such as "quarter past four" and "five minutes past six" instead of the pedestrian "4:15" and "6:05." The clock mounts to any wall, and runs on a single AA battery. It's quite large, measuring in at 33" wide and a 4.5" diameter, so you'll need some space to hang this sucker.
The thing costs $160, which is a bargain. You know, assuming you're a billionaire clock collector. And really, who isn't?

If they could put this into watch form, I'd love it. I always choke up on the time when I have to tell someone... for some reason.

These look like those convenience rails bolted to doorframes for the benefit of the elderly.

Unbelievable... not the clock itself, the fact that I actually seriously WANT one! Now!

This is pretty cool. But I just know if I got one it would be ripped off my wall by my 5 year old.

I actually bought one of these in a clock shop in the Black Forest with the London TUBE logo on it. It's fun but not very durable.

vanman, would a 5 year old be able to reach 6 feet up a wall?
