Apr 24 2007Transforming floor

This modular wood floor allows you to swap out pieces with different heights, so that you can make your own chair or table out of, uh, the floor. It's a neat idea, but seems like more work than just buying a chair or table. And where do you store all the different pieces? Your closet would be filled with giant blocks of wood. People would think you were some sort of lumberjack.

While nifty, I don't think I have the closet space or necessary floor space to make my living room look like a map from Qubert.
Also, my friends already think I'm a lumberjack. Must be all the flannel and maple syrup aftershave.

Cool looking, but the price of it, together with the price of a shed in my yard to keep it in, would make it impractical. Besides, it's probably really uncomfortable. I'll just stick with tile and couches.

Just imagine how much fun it would be for small pets! They jump up, they jump down. They jump up, they jump down. If I were a) crazy wealthy, and b) not living in an apartment, I'd be all over this for the entertainment of my chinchilla. Who would probably eat it.
