Apr 9 2007Need/Want glass prevents waste

This glass was designed with a hole in it so that you don't fill it with more than you need. The glass is divided into two sections, and you have to use your fingers to plug the hole if you want more than you need. It's either a clever commentary on waste, or a smart way to save on materials by taking a hole-sized piece of glass out of each cup.

Prevents waste? More like promotes waste. If you fill it up more than you need..i.e. in the "want" portion, the water will spill from the hole unless you plug it up. So therefore, the water spills, therefore producing "waste". Stupid.
Oh, and first.

Utterly utterly stupid. How much you might want/need is very likely very different from what I might want/need.
Another example of people who have too much time on their hands designing stuff that is a total waste of time and effort. Get off yer ass and do something that is actually useful.
