Apr 27 2007 Real mouse mouse

I don't ever want to meet the lunatic that would want or use this mouse.
Apr 27 2007 Firetable is a table with fire

The Epsilon table is a coffee table which doubles as a fireplace. And yeah, it's every bit as dangerous as it looks. Unless a coffee table which occasionally shoots fire out the top doesn't sound dangerous to you. In which case my spinning saw blade chair is perfect for you. You sit on it and spinning saw blades, well, cut you in half. Inventor of the year!
Apr 27 2007 Keyport Slide revolutionizes keychains

The Keyport Slide is a universal key fob that stores your keys in a tiny rectangular case. Sliding modules push the keys out, and there's even an integrated RFID to allow for remote keyless entry. It's not out yet, but damn if it isn't a good idea. Although I doubt it'd fit all 4,000 of my keys. Right now I just keep them all taped to my jacket. It takes me three hours to get inside my house.
Apr 27 2007 Worst tiger attack ever caught on film
I think the title says it all.
Apr 26 2007 Plaster mold of anthill

This crazy bastard poured plaster down an anthill so he could get a mold of their tunnels. He claims it was for science but we all know the real truth: disgusting anthill plaster porn. For shame!
Apr 26 2007 Headstand stool makes you work to sit

The Headstand stool offers dynamic seating due to its unusual balance point. Which is a fun way of saying it's a pain in the ass. Call me crazy, but the idea of sitting is way less appealing when it becomes more work than standing. It's like inventing a bed that forces you to do pushups.
Apr 26 2007 2008 Olympic torch

PC manufacturer Lenovo was asked to design the 2008 Olympic Torch and this is what they came up with. It's too bad they didn't try anything a little more creative. One of these days when they ask me to design the Olympic Torch I'm going to hand them a live pig on a stick and go: "Masterpiece!"
Apr 26 2007 Comments Fixed

Comments have been fixed and should remember your personal info now. Sort of the way I do when I stand over your shoulder at the ATM.
Apr 26 2007 Nike shoe Transformers

In preparation for the new Transformers movie, Takara is releasing these Transformers toys which turn into 1/2 scale Nike shoes. No, seriously. Not a tank, or a jet, or even a sports car. Shoes. They turn into shoes.
A pretty sweet video of what an actual Shoe Transformer might look like after the jump.
Apr 26 2007 Two headed lamb born

A lamb in China was born with two heads, four eyes and two mouths. Which can only mean one thing: twice the cuteness!
Apr 25 2007 Funny Plane Crash

I don't know about you, but I think I'm going to learn how to fly there. They really seem like they know what they're doing.
Apr 25 2007 Creative lightbulb ad

This ad created for The Economist is designed with a motion sensor which lights up the bulb whenever somebody walks directly underneath it. Which could be disastrous. What if somebody walks underneath exactly as they're having a terrible idea? "Should I quit my job and become a professional cage fighter? My wife and family say no, but the shining lightbulb above my head says yes!"
Apr 25 2007 Magic Tap real life illusion
It looks Photoshopped, but this Magic Tap fountain actually has a pipe hidden in the stream of water. A clever idea, though not as impressive as my sawing a woman in half illusion. For extra realism I actually saw the woman in half. I think I'm wanted in like eight countries.
Apr 25 2007 Super Nintendo Wii mod

French modder Kotomi created this Super Nintendo mod based on the Wii which he calls the Nintendo Super Nii. It plays classic SNES cartridges and looks, well, awesome. Although I can't decide if I like this NES mod better. I guess they both made me cream my pants equally so let's call it a tie.
A couple more shots of the Nintendo Super Nii after the jump.
Apr 25 2007 Nintendo house

If you're wondering what the coolest house in the world looks like, this is it right here. Although the one I built out of The Fonz's sunglasses comes in at a pretty close second. "Heyyy!"
Check out more pictures of the Nintendo house here.
Apr 25 2007 Mmm...comments

It took awhile but we finally got comments enabled on the site. Now you can tell us how much you hate us just like our parents did. *sob sob*
UPDATE: Hmm, apparently the comments are refusing to remember personal info. We're working on it.
Apr 24 2007 Light Wave Surfboard makes surfing lightier
The Light Wave Surfboard is a surfboard featuring headlights, a rail light, fin lights, and a tube light. Basically it's a surfboard outfitted with ligthts. Which, I guess, makes it worth the $2,950 price tag. And by 'I guess' I mean 'I just spit my milk all over my monitor.'
Apr 24 2007 Transforming floor

This modular wood floor allows you to swap out pieces with different heights, so that you can make your own chair or table out of, uh, the floor. It's a neat idea, but seems like more work than just buying a chair or table. And where do you store all the different pieces? Your closet would be filled with giant blocks of wood. People would think you were some sort of lumberjack.
Apr 23 2007 Sinking LED clock

This LED clock looks like it's sinking into whatever surface you place it on. And if you put it on, say, water? Well that, sir, would blow my mind.
Apr 23 2007 Wine glasses that teach cooperation

My Other Half is a set of wine glasses described on the site as:
A pair of wine glasses, which allows the liquid to flow freely between the two glasses. Because liquid finds it's own level, it flows down to the lowest glass. Users must learn to cooperate, to drink their wine.
Clever idea, but I think half the population would have no idea how to actually drink the wine. I don't even know how you'd finish a cup. One person would have to be standing on their head or something.
Check out shots of the wine glass being used after the jump.
Apr 23 2007 McLaren F1 crash test

This is a rare crash test of a McLaren F1. Amazingly, when crashed at 40mph the carbon fiber monocoque chassis absorbed all the impact, leaving the rest of the car intact. Also, this is reportedly the only car ever to be driven away from a MIRA crash test. Although if they tried this thing at the McLaren F1's top speed of 231mph it'd be a completely different story. Instead of a car they'd end up with a giant steel pancake.
Video after the jump.
Apr 23 2007 Crossing the road in India
Sometimes I forget why I never cross the road in India and then I watch this video and remember. These guys are either really brave or really stupid. Or on fire. I'm blind in both eyes so I really have no idea which.
Apr 23 2007 Billy's balls
This is a compilation video of some guy named Billy Marks bouncing ping pong balls into cups. It's amazing how little footage you can be left with when you edit 200 thousand hours of takes.
