Dec 27 2006Bees get destroyed
I am visiting my family in Florida for the holidays. I was chillin at my sister's house when we looked out back and noticed a swarm of honeybees congregating on their swingset. There are a lot of kids around, including my sister's 3 kids. They were inside at the time, fortunately.
So what did they do next? Well figure out ways to decimate them of course. I do so enjoy it when insane people try to do things.

To bad they didn't take a few seconds to look on the internet about what was happening.
Those honey bees were relocateing their hive. In the middle of that big mass of bees on the top of the swing set was their queen and they were protecting her. What most people don't know is they are almost 100% harmless durring this time. you can easily walk around in their swarm without being harmed. they are concerned about only one thing, their queen. The only time you could be in danger is if you dirrectly reached your hand in there and pulled out the queen.
If you see a colony like that just leave them alone. they will move along shortly after the queen rests her wings.
