The Tesla Roadster, powered by more than 6,800 lithium-ion batteries, can go from zero to 60 mph in about four seconds with a top speed of 130 mph. The design actually looks really good too, so you won't have to look like a dork just because you care about the environment. Although with that kind of power I get the feeling the car won't go more than three miles on a single charge. Maybe four if you turn the air conditioning off.
