Redesigning the barcode

It seems like a waste of time, but if somebody wants to go through the trouble of making barcodes look pretty then all the power to them. Next they can get cracking on adding some flare to warning labels and the small print on legal documents. You know, the ones that say you've inadvertently sold yourself into slavery when really all you wanted was to open a checking account.
