Jun 16 2006Jet engines to cool computers

jet-engine-cooling.jpgHewlett-Packard is adapting jet engines from radio-controlled jets to help cool their servers. It's a good idea and a wonder why nobody has thought of it yet. Imagine the difference between a propeller and a jet engine, and the amount of hot air they could potentially move. I'm just hoping something goes wrong and we hear about computers suddenly taking off from all over the world. Because I don't think my life is going to be complete until I read about a man being attacked by his own computer after it took off from his living room.
